This article presents a dual-core fiber coupler design using a standard single-mode fiber and a ring-core fiber to generate high-purity orbital angular momentum (OAM) modes. By simulating the coupling process based on mode and phase matching and optimizing the waveguide separation, the authors achieved high coupling efficiency (up to 99%) and low inter-mode crosstalk (<-20 dB) for the first-order OAM mode, demonstrating a promising approach for all-fiber OAM generation systems.
