Brief
This article reports on the development of a simple and low-cost near-infrared fiber-optic Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) detection system using a near-infrared laser diode, fiber-optic wavelength division multiplexers, and an InGaAs avalanche photodiode to detect 4-aminothiophenol.
Summary
This article presents the development of a cost-effective and simple near-infrared Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) detection system that utilizes fiber optic devices. The system employs a near-infrared laser diode, fiber-optic wavelength division multiplexers (WDMs), and an InGaAs avalanche photodiode to successfully detect the SERS spectrum of 4-aminothiophenol. The fiber-optic design offers advantages such as structural simplicity, potential for miniaturization, low cost, and remote detection.
